Back over hurdles for the first time since finishing down the field at the Cheltenham Festival last year, Al Gasparo is an interesting contender on yard debut for Kayley Woollacott. He has been running well in point-to-point races over the past year for Joshua Newman, winning five of his six appearances, falling in his other outing.
For Gavin Cromwell a couple of seasons ago, Al Gasparo won a 20-runner Listed Leopardstown handicap over the festive period, beating Park Of Kings by half a length when rated 132 under 5lb claiming Conor Stone-Walsh. He has shown a high level of form over this distance and these obstacles, and, although it's been a while since his latest success in this sphere, he retains ability and could run a big race under 7lb claiming Lucas Murphy.
2.10 Doncaster: Rousing Encore (E/W)
Narrowly denied at Haydock when last seen, Rousing Encore could go one place better on his return to Doncaster from a 2lb higher mark. He has been competitive from this rating in the past and finished fourth in the race last year behind defending champion Fine Interview, before being narrowly denied over the same course-and-distance by Golden Mind in his subsequent run.
With noteworthy form at the track and versatility with regards to the ground, the Ruth Carr-trained gelding warrants each-way consideration under James Sullivan. He often gives a good account of himself in tough handicaps and was only beaten half a length by Eye Of Dubai in a hugely competitive renewal of the Ayr Bronze Cup in his penultimate start, therefore comes into the race in good form.
5.45 Dundalk: Shoot To Kill (E/W)
Top weight Shoot To Kill is one to note for Noel Kelly and Rory Mulligan as he bids to return to the winners' enclosure in these familiar surroundings. The course and distance winner is 10lb lower than his latest handicap success and proved he still retains plenty of ability when placing on a few occasions during the spring and summer months this year.
With a huge amount of experience in his favour and seven all-weather wins to his name, Shoot To Kill is often a horse to consider on this surface and he appears on a workable rating if at his best. He has shown plenty of noteworthy form at this venue in the past and could add to his 12 career successes in this 7f contest.

7.15 Dundalk: Kerdos (E/W) (NAP)
Kerdos has shown some excellent form on the all-weather, winning two of his five starts on the surface to date as well as finishing second in two other appearances. He got the better of 101-rated all-weather performer Sir Les Patterson over course and distance when last seen, and, although the runner-up and favourite didn't get the clearest of runs in the closing stages, neither did the eventual winner, who had to overcome his own traffic problems to prevail.
The son of Profitable has to step up further to make his mark in Group Three company, but he has a huge amount of valuable experience against tough opposition in his favour, and, although he may not quite be the force of old, once rated as high as 111, he's still a hugely talented performer.
Earlier in his career, Kerdos landed Group Two honours as well as a Listed success for former trainer Clive Cox and also lined up in Group One contests won by the likes of Highfield Princess, Asfoora and American Affair, far from disgraced at the top level. He shouldn't have a huge amount to find in this field and, in current form, may be worth keeping onside at a price of 14-1.
8.00 Wolverhampton: Enola Grey (E/W)
Course and distance winner Enola Grey shouldn't be discounted each-way in this 7f handicap. She's on a workable mark of 66 with 3lb claiming Laura Coughlan in the saddle, putting her in with a solid chance of making the frame if returning to form.
The likeable six-year-old mare is currently 7lb lower than when recording her latest success at this venue in December. She has run well from an even higher mark since, notably when beaten only a length and a quarter in a higher class Lingfield contest in February, and, although she hasn't been seen to best effect recently, this is a drop in class.
At this level, the Gemma Tutty-trained contender should be able to make her presence felt in this field and could put in a bold bid.
