It's an exciting weekend for Racing TV members with our syndicate horse declared to run in the on the , live on Racing TV!
The five-year-old, who is trained by Stuart Williams, will face eight rivals in the 5f contest and will be ridden by Marco Ghiani. Lir Speciale will also be wearing a tongue tie for the first time on his first outing since finishing a staying-on fourth at Chelmsford in September.
Racing TV teamed up with RaceShare to offer the opportunity for members to join the syndicate at no cost, so if you haven't already, all you have to do is claim your share by registering on the link below (shares are limited to active Racing TV members).
The son of Prince Of Lir was purchased for 50,000gns (£52,500) at the Tattersalls Horses in Training Sale in October and has been in training with Stuart Williams in since.
All owners have been receiving regular updates from Racing TV and RaceShare on the horse’s progress and have the opportunity to apply for owner’s badges every time the horse runs, as well as exclusive yard visits to meet the horse and the trainer.
Racing TV members have been kept up to date on Lir Speciale with regular updates from Stuart Williams. You can view all the updates on our YouTube page
Every time Lir Speciale runs, Racing TV will hold a ballot to determine who will receive official owners’ badges, and these lucky members will also share any prize money (less deductions) earned for that run.
Williams shared an update on Friday to Racing TV members after Lir Speciale was declared, and while Williams is hopeful of a good run, his string have been needing their first run of the season. This will be Lir Speciale's first run for 241 days, but he does go well fresh having scored on his seasonal debut last year, and after a 110-day absence in 2022.
Williams said: "We've declared Lir Speciale for Newmarket on Sunday. There are nine runners and Marco Ghiani is due to ride. My horses have been needing their first run, so I'm not saying this horse won't be any different.
"He might need his first run, and we're obviously trying to do something different with him by bringing him back to sprinting. Five furlongs is a big jump back from the seven furlongs he's been running over, but he's ready to run, and I'm very happy with him. I hope it all goes well on Sunday, and I hope to see some of you there!"
