Rachel Candelora's Thursday tips: Mine for profit with a Russian windfall at Meydan

Rachel Candelora struck with all four of her tips last week and has tips at Chelmsford and Meydan for Thursday's action.

Magic Pulse did us a favour when winning at Chelmsford three Thursdays ago and, despite a slight raise in grade, I will support her again to follow up.
With plenty of speed drawn to the inside of this strong traveling daughter of Dragon Pulse, she should hopefully get a good tow into the race.
As regular readers will have realised by now, for me racing is a broad church where a winner is a winner no matter in what discipline. Without doubt the Arabian race is the best quality contest on Thursday's Meydan card and in the shape of RB Madymoiselle it has attracted a star.
RB Madymoiselle is already an eight-times winner on dirt in the US, including in the Grade One Arabian Distaff at Delaware Park last year.
In her two runs so far in the UAE she has been a little disappointing, but those runs came in the Grade One Kahayla Classic on Dubai World Cup night and in the richest Arabian race in the world, the Jewel Crown, in Abu Dhabi last month - it's a race worth €1.2million (£900,000).
This is a much easier task - and worth only £22,000, and she escapes any penalties for her previous victories.
Continuing the American angle at Meydan, I am interested in the US-bred Russian Miner in a weak looking 6f dirt maiden.
This three-yar-old is certainly bred to go on dirt, being by Discreetly Mine out of a daughter of Fusaichi Pegasus who herself won twice on dirt in the America over 6f.
On his debut, just under a month ago, he broke slowly, and took a lot of kickback through the first half of the race.
On the turn for home he was making steady headway when checked in his run, but passed several rivals in the stretch to finish fifth under tender handling.
If he breaks more alertly now on his second start he should be a major player for Doug Watson a trainer who has made his customary strong start to the UAE campaign.
In a field made up of many old friends Bowerman is an intriguing “new kid on the block” representing trainer Roger Varian.
Although it has been eight months since we have seen this son of Dutch Art on the track, the form of both his previous two starts looks rock solid.
His defeat by Stradivarius, on debut at Newcastle last November, still reads well and that form is surpassed by his emphatic victory over Ply at Kempton in April.

15:00 Sandown-Park - Saturday January 2
The runner-up that day has gone on to become one of the most exciting horses so far of this winter’s All-Weather season and although 10-11 is short he looks by far the most likely winner.
