Owner Michael Buckley relaxed on plans for Constitution Hill

Constitution Hill was fourth behind Pride Of Arras at Kempton
Owner Michael Buckley has not yet had a discussion with Nicky Henderson regarding the next plan of attack for Constitution Hill.
The former champion hurdler met with defeat for the first time on the level in the Group Three September Stakes at Kempton last Saturday, finishing fourth.
While the fact he was unable to finish in the first three ruled out a dream tilt at the Melbourne Cup, the handicapper saw Constitution Hill’s performance as a big career-best on the Flat, raising him from a mark of 101 to 108.
Buckley was at Doncaster on Thursday to see the William Haggas-trained God Given Talent finish a creditable fifth in the Weatherbys 300,000 2-Y-O Stakes, and said he was in no rush to firm up where his Seven Barrows superstar will line up next.
On whether he and Henderson had looked at the programme booked for a potential next target, Buckley said: “We haven’t looked at it and haven’t thought about it, but he’s fine.
“I don’t know (if he’ll improve for the run). The jockey (Billy Loughnane) said he would, but they always say that don’t they?
“I’m seeing Nicky on Sunday for an owners’ thing, but I don’t know where we go next. There’s plenty of time to worry about that.”
