Four-time champion jockey Oisin Murphy is due to appear in court a week today (July 3) after being charged with two offences after a road traffic collision in April.Murphy has been charged with one count of driving a motor vehicle while over the prescribed limit of alcohol, and one count of failing to cooperate with a preliminary test at the roadside. He was charged on the same day he rode a double at Royal Ascot last Thursday, the Racing Post has reported.
The 29-year-old, who has ridden more than 1600 winners in Britain, is due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on July 3, Thames Valley Police have said.
