Martin Dixon's Saturday selections: Diamond looks a Newmarket gem

Racing TV's Martin Dixon casts his eye over Saturday's British action and picks out four horses at the top of his shortlist.
(Selections first provided to subscribers to the on Friday evening - any odds mentioned were correct at that time).
Adrian Keatley has enjoyed another good year with his juveniles and showed more than enough on debut at Doncaster last month to think she's capable of picking up a novice with that run expected to have brought her forward. The ground is set to be on the soft side of good and on pedigree that's another reason to expect progress - her half-sister With Thanks was a Group Three winner who relished testing conditions and there are other soft-ground winners in the family too.
I felt Relief Rally rather picked up the pieces back over five furlongs at Newbury last time and perhaps further suits her ideally nowadays so she's a favourite I'm happy to oppose and looks to have an ideal set up. She's drawn next to Democracy Dilemma who is likely to take them along but has enough pace herself to sit and stalk and this is a much more realistic race for her than when mid-division in the Group One Flying Five last time.
hasn't been seen since a midfield finish in the Albany at Royal Ascot - form that has proven very strong subsequently - but Archie Watson is a dab hand at getting horses firing off a layoff and I think her impressive defeat of Arabian Dusk (Group Two winner since) at Doncaster on debut in June could make her tough to beat here. She showed bags of speed on Town Moor that day and has enough about her physically to think that some time off may even have benefited her and allowed her to really strengthen into her frame.
Over the sprint trips at Redcar a low draw can often be helpful to bag the fail rail which is so often the place to be and will hopefully be seen to good effect from stall one. He's slipped to a mark that's as low as it's been all year despite having run some good races in defeat this season and he caught my eye running well at York on his penultimate start despite fluffing the start that day. He was wrong at the weights and in deep in the Bronze Cup at Ayr last time and will be happier back at five furlongs and on softer ground again.
Martin Dixon's tips are returning a 44.83pts level stakes profit to 1pt bets at starting price since his Inside Angle tips began in July 2024.
