Martin Dixon's Saturday selections: Newmarket race looks 'a perfect fit'

Since being dropped to six furlongs, has proved a revelation, winning her first two starts over the trip before a promising effort at Epsom last time in a hot race. She travelled powerfully through the race at Epsom to suggest that she's still well handicapped but just tired late on on soft ground. The return to faster conditions here will be ideal. 

Mark Rimell's filly was unlucky not to land a gamble at Windsor last time, not getting a clear run from after halfway yet still only being beaten two lengths, and she has been dropped another 1lb since to what I think is a very lenient mark of 72. This is a handicap confined to three-year-old fillies, so it's a perfect fit for her and I hope she'll take a lot of beating. 

is undeniably progressive but last time she met Ottoman she was rated fully 25lb lower and, despite winning himself since, Ottoman is only 1lb higher than on that occasion at Bath; that’s a big pull in the weights for only three lengths! He won comfortably in first-time cheekpieces at Leicester on his latest start, travelling strongly in a handy position throughout, and unlike that day regular jockey Aidan Brookes can claim his 3lb allowance here.
