12.40 Warwick: Limerick Star
On his only start in a point-to-point in Ireland, Limerick Star was a very encouraging second to the now 140-rated Moon Rocket, with the 120-rated Rules winner Warrior's Destiny back in third.
I was encouraged by his hurdling debut at Exeter last month, chasing a good gallop for a long way and understandably getting tired late on.
That form is strong, with the runner-up and fourth both successful since, and I'm expecting plenty of improvement from Limerick Star up in distance with that under his belt.
2.25 Warwick: Knappers Hill (Nap)

Le Milos is dangerous in a race he won twelve months ago, but he's well established in these veterans races now and the ten-year-old Knappers Hill, who has always been talented, but is low mileage in recent years, brings an unusual element of untapped potential to the table for a race like this.
He missed two years after winning the Rising Stars in November 2023, but there's been promise in both runs back, behind no less than The Jukebox Man and Iroco at Haydock on his belated return, then at Wetherby last time where he didn't stay three miles.
He's been freshened up since, Paul Nicholls' string have started the month strongly and this return to an intermediate trip looks perfect.
3.00 Warwick: Dream Shadow (E/W)

There's an open look to this Grade Two mares' novice, but I've liked Dream Shadow's attitude to the job over hurdles this season and odds as big as 11-1 at the time of writing make appeal each-way.
A course winner already, she underlined her effectiveness on testing ground when winning again at Ayr last time and, although that form is nothing flash, her narrow defeat to La Conquiere at Uttoxeter in October does read well given that rival's subsequent progress.
She also showed plenty of ability in bumpers and remains open to improvement.
