Top tipster and presenter Martin Dixon hit the target with Donnacha (12-1) and Ma Shantou (advised at 5-1) at Cheltenham last weekend. See who he likes this time.
1.50 Leopardstown: Mange Tout
Best odds: 3-1.
I'm going to suggest backing Mange Tout to confirm the form with Narciso Has, who she defeated at Fairyhouse in November.
I simply think she's a value play at the prices (3-1, at the time of writing) and that price, against the odds-on favourite, is too much of a discrepancy.
I do acknowledge she had race fitness on her side at Fairyhouse, but I still thought she picked up and pulled away from Narciso Has pretty readily there.
Gordon Elliott's charge is a well-bred filly - she's a half-sister to Impaire Et Passe - and she's also better off at the weights here.
The market appears to be factoring in that race fitness edge last time, and that may prove to be the case, with Narciso Has also scoring on his latest start, and he could be the bigger improver.
However, Mange Tout is a filly who has done nothing wrong, and I would rather back her here at the odds on offer.
I will also be having a small bet on Manje Tout for the JCB Triumph Hurdle ahead of Saturday.
3.00 Musselburgh: Walks The Talk
Best odds: 9-2.
John McConnell has won two of the past four renewals of this staying contest, including with Intense Approach last year, so it's obviously a race the yard target.
I was impressed with Walks The Talk when she won at Kelso two starts ago where she made all, and jumped really well. She also clocked a decent time there, too.
She only managed fifth next time out at Haydock, but I think the shorter trip was against her, and she steps up to three miles for the first time here, which I think will be much more suitable.
She's also in receipt of weight from the favourite, Absolutely Doyen, and I think Walks The Talk is the value play at the general 9-2 on offer.
4.05 Leopardstown: Battle Of Ridgeway
Best odds: 12-1.
I was really impressed with his emphatic win on his most recent start at Navan and he makes each-way appeal the early 12-1 on offer.
It looked like he was in danger of losing his position last time after meeting a little bit of trouble at one point of the race, but he tanked his way into the lead and won very easily.
The runner-up was seeking a hat-trick of wins and third third home has boosted the form with two subsequent wins.
He clearly handles very testing ground well and he's improving, with his previous run at Cheltenham in November also being a strong piece of form.
