Martin Dixon's trio of tips for Saturday's racing

The Racing TV pundit gives his thoughts on the pick of the UK weekend action from Newmarket and Newcastle.
An usually quiet Saturday on Racing TV so it's over to Newcastle that I head for the best bet of the weekend.
Mick Appleby has his string in terrific form, landing a treble across Tuesday's cards and a double at Nottingham on Thursday,  and Squeezebox has strong claims of adding to the yard's success in Newcastle's at 5.25.
He ran a personal best at Haydock in May, finishing second having travelled strongly and made his move a bit too soon, and there should be better still to come from a horse who is very lightly raced over middle distances.

Unmissable racecourse offers:
Newmarket's July course stages the only UK meeting on the channel this Saturday and there are a couple at the track that I think are worth backing.
Havana Gila (2.15) won a valuable York novice two weeks ago, building on her debut promise, and the form was boosted when the fifth-placed I Got Soul, who was readily seen off, came out to win at Hamilton on Thursday.
Havana Gila stayed on strongly at York, giving the firm impression that six furlongs would be more like her optimum trip, and she should be helped by a middle draw that puts her close to a couple of the likely front runners, Tequila Rose (drawn 8) and Teej A (9). She's worth an each-way bet in an admittedly open race.
Noble Dynasty won't be an each-way price but I do expect him to be hard to beat in Newmarket's feature at 3.25. Prominent tactics tend to have an advantage on the July course and with only six runners here I expect this to be quite tactical and favour those ridden handy.
Pogo is likely to give Noble Dynasty a lead early on but the Charlie Appleby-trained six-year-old has the best recent form in my opinion, having comfortably seen off the subsequent dual-winner English Oak (impressive at Royal Ascot) on the Rowley Mile in May.
He's very effective on this track and on fast ground and with a likely tactical advantage I expect him to be hard to beat under reigning champion jockey William Buick.
