I wasn't as impressed as many were by Great Barrier Reef so it's no surprise to me Ryan Moore has sided with impressive Naas winner Confucius. However, he still looked raw despite that being his second run and to my eye looked to need the rail to aid him, additionally I wasn't in love with his head carriage. For these reasons, coupled with his short price, I'm looking to oppose him.
Night In Vegas has enjoyed two trips to the track, winning on both occasions, including over course and distance. While the form of that win is yet to work out, his next win at Goodwood boasts solid form. Both the second and third were previous winners and he beat them comfortably despite losing both front shoes. Eve Johnson Houghton does well with her juveniles and being drawn next to the favourite means he should get a good tow into the race.
My second selection will be Siouxperb for Archie Watson he won on debut at Yarmouth, with the form boosted by the runner-up winning since. But perhaps more pertinently this win in April came at a time when the yard were finding winners hard to come by and when their juveniles appeared to be needing the run. That he was able to defy this suggests he could be better than average, and his capable trainer knows how to win with two-year olds at this meeting.

I've already tipped her ante-post, but Wild Blossom remains the selection. She made a striking debut at Carlisle where she was excellent through every stage of the race. She broke smartly, travelled powerfully and then quickened up in impressive fashion.
But perhaps most taking was her powerful finish. Six furlongs would certainly be no trouble so it's noteworthy connections keep her to this minimum trip; that James Doyle stays loyal to her is also a positive.
For those wanting to play at a bigger price you may want to consider Karl Burke's other runner Love A Giggle. She gained her second win from two starts at York last time, finishing off well from off the pace. The second and third were both previous winners while the fourth-placed filly has won since, so the form is solid.
She needed every yard of the trip at York, so I fully expect this stiffer test to see her progress further, and she has strong each-way claims.

A change to qualifying criteria and trip - it's now six furlongs not five - means this is not necessarily the precocious test of previous years.
Boleto won on debut at Pontefract despite getting much of it wrong; he broke moderately and then took a while to find his rhythm before getting disorganised on the bend. He showed a good gear change once straightening up, but again looked immature when hanging under pressure.
He's sure to have improved from that experience and this straight, stiff track will suit him well. Trainer Clive Cox is no stranger to winners in this sphere.
