There is no obvious value about the Irish runners in York, with Ombudsman probably a bet at odds-against to take care of Constitution River in a race above any on the Flat I've looked forward to in many years.Haffner has plenty going for him in the Acomb but he is into 7-4 and it is hard to justify a bet on him at that price. His sire, incidentally, is Justify, whose most celebrated son (City Of Troy) won Wednesday's feature two years ago.I cannot see any value in the Irish horses at York and am going to stay local. Bullet-proof each-way it seems. Ran into at least one (Timurshah) on his sole visit here when I tipped him at a big price and he has had another fine run since at Downpatrick. 

It's a positive that Daniel King is booked.

Looks potentially thrown in given how he hacked up over course and distance last time when I was not alone in deeming him an unlikely stayer. 

He could have gotten much more than 8lbs.

I was very strong on this horse at Ballinrobe, a run that can be completely ignored, and she duly hacked up at Wexford. 

She can win again.
