Trainer Ian Williams has no immediate plans for a big step up in grade for Ascot bumper winner King Of Realms. The Worcestershire handler sees the five-year-old as an embryonic chaser, but Williams was still mildly stunned by the manner in which he pulled five lengths clear on his debut in November. He said:"What he achieved that day was quite exceptional. "The form of the horses that he beat has not worked out, but it is about how he performed on his racecourse debut as we are not renowned for preparing them for their bumper debut."He has just had a break and is just back in what I would refer to as 'hard training'. He could go to Warwick on January 26."It is tough to carry a penalty in a bumper and he is not a bumper horse but I would like him to gain more experience."King Of Realms has only just turned five and he is bred to be a steeplechaser."
