12.40: Ludlow: OF COURSE YOU CAN
This mare did not win in bumpers but performed well in Listed class, so she has been a real disappointment since being switched to hurdles.
However, it may well have been that she needed a wind operation for a little while and she certainly seemed to show the benefit of it when winning impressively over this course and distance last time out.
has been raised 10lbs for that success, but if her issues have now been sorted out she is still very well handicapped indeed.
She is related to Gold Cup winner Long Run so, on pedigree, certainly has several pounds of improvement still to come.
1.50 Ludlow: NED CASH
He makes his debut over fences and might be expected to improve for his new and bang in-form stable.
Trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies kept Ned Cash to hurdles for his yard debut last time and he went off at odds way shorter than ever before. Ned Cash didn’t manage to score at 5/4 last time but did run his best ever race, justifying the clear view that he has improved for the stable switch.
The six-year-old has useful chasers in his pedigree and this looks a very weak race in which to make his debut over fences.
8.30 Chelmsford: HAT TOSS
has been running consistently well compared to most of this field and he looks the percentage call here.
He won over this trip at
in August and has run two good races over seven furlongs since, getting beaten just three-quarters of a length in a decent all-weather handicap last time out.
Hat Toss might well appreciate this step back up to a mile as he was definitely staying on at the line last time.
Off the same mark here, this looks a good opportunity to open his all-weather account.
