Dave Nevison has three selections for Kempton on Wednesday evening, live on Racing TV.
Billy Loughnane is rattling through his claim fast, and it is fair to say plenty of people have noticed what a talent he is.
The young rider did us a massive favour last week when guiding El Hombre to victory at 8-1, but I have missed out on three more of his winners since then already!
His past ten rides have been for six different trainers, and big names like Alan King have now joined the party. King himself is in good form, so it looks likely that Fast Forward will be in good enough shape for his first run since the summer.
His past two outings need to be vastly improved upon, but it is possible he simply didn’t enjoy hurdling and needed a break as, prior to that, he had been on a gradual upward curve.
There may still be more to come, but he is a hopeful rather than confident selection.
Produced a much-improved effort on his first run in a handicap when backed off the boards at Southwell last time out, although his supporters can’t have been confident after the start he made!
He won by a head there, but that certainly did not reflect his superiority on some modest rivals, and a 5lb rise for that win looks a generous response from the handicapper, though I suspect his hands were tied by the margin of his win.
A gelding operation might well have helped Arbaawi but it seems obvious he will continue to be a different proposition running in handicaps this season, and can follow up.

Blazeon Five is an in-form stayer on a roll and can complete a four-timer for Roger Teal. Two of his recent victories have come over this course and distance and although he is higher in the handicap now, he is not much higher than when initially assessed, so looks up to defying this new mark based upon how easily he won at Southwell last time out.
His handler has been in winning form already this year and Lewis Edmunds keeps the ride, so there are few negatives.
