Our pundit and resident website tipster Dave Nevison thinks there could be an interesting prospect on show at among two further fancies from Sandown Park on Friday. Enjoy more action from Down Royal, and live on Racing TV.
2.25 Sandown: THISISMYDREAM
Thisismydream has been consistent all season and showed his liking for a stiff sprint track when winning at
last time.
He travelled well on that occasion and got up close home after being forced to switch, winning by a neck. He was clearly value for a bit more on that occasion and the 2lbs he has gone up in the weights should make negligible difference.
The five-year-old has fared well with the draw in stall 4 from where he should be able to sit just in behind a strong pace. Hopefully he won’t meet such traffic problems this time.
He clearly gets on well with
who once more claims a valuable 5lbs.
2.45 Thirsk: RHYTHM MASTER
This is a really good midweek handicap and Thirsk must be pleased to have attracted this field.
Rhythm Master has been essentially disappointing since he was felt good enough to try Group One company as a three-year-old and he has been difficult to train, but he has managed the odd good run at a much higher level than this.
On only his second start for new trainer Geoffrey Harker, Ryhthm Master looked as though he was more than capable of finally landing another win in this grade. He was only beaten 1 ½ lengths at Haydock Park earlier this month despite not getting the best of runs and was not knocked about at all.
It looks as though his new trainer may have a decent prospect on his hands.

4.00 Sandown: GLOBAL ESTEEM
Global Esteem won a handicap here off a mark of 81 back in the day, so his current mark of 76 might not be high enough to stop him winning again given the form he seems to have regained recently.
He won a similar race over course and distance off a mark of 72 recently and then followed up that victory with a hurdles win at
last time out.
The trainer’s daughter Fern O’Brien clearly gets on well with him and Global Esteem can complete a quick hat trick across both codes.
