Globe-trotting stars Highland Reel and Talismanic look set for a re-match after they were announced among the 55 selections for the Longines Hong Kong International Races on December 10.

The pair are both in contention for the Vase, a race Aidan O’Brien’s Highland Reel won in 2015 and was second in last year.
However, he was only third to the new Andre Fabre and Godolphin star Talismanic in the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Del Mar this month.
O'Brien is also represented by Highland Reel’s brother Idaho while Japan’s latest hope is with Leger winner Kiseki.
There looks to be a strong Japanese contender in the Cup through Neorealism, where home hopes are led by John Moore’s Werther. Sir Michael Stoute’s Champion Stakes runner-up Poet’s Word, Blond Me and Robin Of Navan provide plenty of British interest.
There are many more international runners taking on local star Mr Stunning in the Sprint, with Signs Of Blessing and The Right Man for France and The Tin Man representing James Fanshawe. Dean Ivory’s Librisa Breeze, who won the Champions Sprint at Ascot, could be joined by O’Brien pair Lancaster Bomber and Roly Poly in the Mile.
Tony Kelly, the Hong Kong Jockey Club's executive director of racing business and operations, said: "It is great to see such strong contenders from Europe, Asia and North America heading to Hong Kong.
"Last year's occasion was about as good as it gets: Maurice, Beauty Only, Aerovelocity and Satono Crown each were brilliant winners of exciting races, but Hong Kong never rests on its laurels. The depth of quality in the four races this year means that we can look forward with certainty to another great day of sport on the second Sunday in December."
Overall there were 32 overseas challengers selected for the Sha Tin event, which is set to feature 24 Group One winners
