Flying Angel outbattled favourite Gino Trail to lift the Grade Two Betway Kingmaker Novices' Chase at Warwick.Trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies and ridden by his son Willie, Flying Angel really began to challenge the prominent favourite Gino Trail coming down to the last. The pair jumped the final obstacle together, but Flying Angel found another gear on the run to the line to triumph by four and a half lengths at odds of 7-2. Twiston-Davies was at Newbury, where he teamed up with his other son Sam to win the Betfair Hurdle with Ballyandy, but was thrilled to see his charge hit the target on his first start since November. He said: "He is a little superstar, but then Altior looks pretty good. It is nice having Flying Angel back winning."He pulled a muscle and the break did him good. He has come back looking good."Twiston-Davies was also on the mark with the Dave Crosse-ridden Templehills (9-1) in the Racing UK In HD Warwick Castle Handicap Chase.Rons Dream (5-2) stayed on well to take the Listed honours in the olbg.com Mares' Hurdle for trainer Peter Bowen and his jockey son, Sean. The seven-year-old took the last flight in front after Jessber's Dream had tried to make all and pulled clear to score by six lengths.
