Top tips for Saturday! Dave Nevison, Martin Dixon, Johnny Ward, Ross Millar and Harry Allwood share a selection each across York, Sandown and Leicester, all live on Racing TV.
2.25 York: Chillingham
Tipster: Dave Nevison.
You have to overlook a couple of disappointing runs - without obvious excuses bar from coming after a break - to give Chillingham a chance here, but I’m prepared to give the six-year-old another roll of the dice in a much lower grade than he has contested for the past two years.
Trainer Ed Bethell has switched the headgear for Chillingham and that may help him focus, while it’s not too long ago that this gelding was running really well in the highest grade of handicap - including over this course and distance.
Becky Smith is a strong jockey booking (in a very strong field of riders) and hopefully she will not overdo the waiting tactics on this horse, who has got going too late on occasions.
At his best Chillingham could outclass these, and hopefully he will appreciate this lower grade.
2.40 Sandown: Town And Country
Tipster: Johnny Ward.
She looks a really feasible option at the weights after a fine run in the Goffs Irish EBF Polonia Stakes at Cork where she just failed to reel in the William Haggas-trained First Instinct.

3.50 Sandown: Wave Rider
Tipster: Ross Millar.
Ross Millar: Wave Fancied To Make A Splash
4.45 York: Obelix
Tipster: Martin Dixon.
This five-year-old is my nap of the day on Saturday. He is a talented handicapper on his day, and what he needs is a strong pace to aim at over a mile, and to get into a race late on following a strong gallop.
I think he should get that here, as there are several front runners, including Garden Oasis, Ey Up Its The Boss and Golden Pharaoh who should all ensure this is a strongly-run contest, and that could set things up nicely for Obelix to arrive late on the scene.
He ran nicely when fourth on his latest start at Thirsk and he finished behind subsequent Epsom winner Mirsky. They didn’t go quick enough for him there, though, and he tried to come from the rear of the field. He ran on, and was only beaten just over two lengths, but the pace just didn’t collapse for him.
This race should set up ideally for him, and he’s also got a decent draw in stall seven.
7.20 Leicester: Kisskodi
Tipster: Harry Allwood.
A low-key Saturday with Royal Ascot on the horizon, but there are plenty of competitive handicaps to get stuck during the afternoon. However, the best bet of the day looks to be Kisskodi who bids to defy a 9lb rise in the W M Installations Ltd Handicap (7.20pm) at
.
This three-year-old was a big eye-catcher when second at Haydock two starts ago where he travelled strongly and kicked clear two furlongs out, only to be collared close home. He pulled over eight lengths clear of the third there and probably would have won had he been waited with a little longer.
Harry Eustace's charge attracted plenty of support beforehand, and that also the case when he made amends at Brighton last time out where he was 6lb well in following his narrow defeat.
He has already attracted support here and, based on the manner of his Brighton victory, this progressive handicapper should be capable of defying a 9lb rise, especially as he's only had seven starts.
Jim Crowley is a positive jockey booking, and the ground and draw are in Kisskodi's favour plus this does not look the strongest contest. He's the one to beat.
