2.00 Curragh: Big Gossey

Best odds: 7-1
Tipster: Johnny Ward

2.57 Newbury: Regional

Tipster: Andy Stephens
The Ed Bethell-trained gelding has low mileage for a seven-year-old sprinter – he’s had only 22 starts - but his connections have been rewarded, as he rarely runs a bad race.
One of those runs was in this contest last year, when he made a typically bold bid from the front, only to fade in the closing stages and end up finishing fourth. The trio who beat him were all three-year-olds getting 5lb, but the only representative of the classic generation this time is Ain’t Nobody, who has plenty on his plate.
Regional lines up on the back of two cracking efforts this term, finishing a close third to Believing in the Al Quoz Sprint before filling the same position in the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot.
This is an easier assignment, with several of his possible opponents, including Elite Status, who took the spoils 12 months ago, arriving here with something to prove.

3.12 Market Rasen: Riskintheground

Best odds: 14-1
Tipster: Page Fuller
At Market Rasen, it’s Summer Plate day, and with nearly a full field, there is plenty of opportunity to find some each way value in the feature.
Jumping is of great importance around Market Rasen, with 38 per cent of races over fences won by the horses that jumped the best. In a competitive handicap such as this, finding a jumping rhythm will be even more crucial and something that should be a real asset for Riskintheground.
His career Jump Index score of 7.9 out of 10 is the highest of the race and, if he can bounce back to the form of his win at Cheltenham in April, it’s hard to see him out of the frame.
His Jump Index in that race was 8.3, far better than the 7.5 he scored next time at Sandown, which highlights how much better he can be than he showed in his latest attempt. It’s very easy to draw a line through that last run too, as it was his third run in 15 days.
He had a busy spring, but hopefully the couple of months he’s had off will have freshened him up nicely, and knowing Dan Skelton, he’ll have primed him perfectly for this valuable prize.

3.30 Newbury: Havana Hurricane

Best odds: 6-4
Tipsters: Dave Nevison and Andy Stephens
Dave Nevison's thoughts:
Hopefully the old adage that states “bigger the field, bigger the certainty” holds true in this traditional sales race which is a straightforward point and go sprint.
The huge field is composed of an equally huge range of ability and, with several of the runners already having reached peak form and unlikely to improve, there are few real contenders.
Havana Hurricane won the Windsor Castle in really good style last time and that form makes him an odds on chance in this race by my calculations.
Even though odds will be cramped, Eve Johnson Houghton’s cheaply bought sprinter looks worth a bet.

4.55 Newmarket: Chorus

Best odds: 8-1
Tipster: Alex Scott
I think the market here is underestimating William Haggas's experienced filly, who just about has the best form in the book, but lacks the 'sexy' profile of some of the market leaders.
My confidence is boosted by the fact there are showers forecast overnight and during Saturday at HQ. Whilst she clearly handles fast ground, she has put up a couple of good performances with 'soft' in the description and the two favourite here have yet to race on anything other than pretty fast ground.
She does have to concede weight to the three-year-olds, but her trainer has won this race with a four-year-old before and could not be in better form.
Connections will be desperate to win a black-type race with this well-bred filly and Haggas knows the family well, having trained her half-brother Klondike to win Stakes races at four.
She has a big win in her this year and this could be it.
