Evan Williams keen to tackle Adonis date with Evening Hush

Evan Williams is eager to let Evening Hush take her chance in Saturday's BetBright Genius Adonis Juvenile Hurdle at Kempton. The four-year-old won her first two starts over hurdles before proving no match for Triumph Hurdle favourite Defi Du Seuil in the Finale Hurdle at Chepstow, but Williams is convinced his filly is better than she showed in that Grade One. Should Evening Hush run at Kempton, she could clash with Nicky Henderson's Charli Parcs, who created a big impression when winning on his British debut and is as low as 5-1 for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and 4-1 for the Triumph. "I'd like to go as I still can't work out her Chepstow run," said Williams. "I have a lot of respect for the winner, but I'm convinced she's better than she showed there."The negatives this weekend would be she'd have to carry a penalty for her win in a Listed race which might seem a silly thing to do for a filly against boys, but at least it will tell me more about her."Part of me thinks she might not be a Cheltenham horse and that she could be better on flatter tracks, so at the moment I'm keen to run her."
