Emirates Racing Authority and Weatherbys team up for new digital deal

The ERA oversees a world-leading race programme and infrastructure within the United Arab Emirates. Racing in the UAE has for many years played a major part in the sport’s global calendar with so many of its horses performing at the very highest level on the world stage.

The ERA have partnered with Weatherbys to develop and deploy a world leading Cloud platform – a platform that will look to harness Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms.

The Weatherbys Cloud solution will be designed to position data at the centre of the ERA’s digital strategy in a way that creates operational efficiencies as well as elevating and enhancing the customer journey. This will be done through engagement with the platform across multiple devices thereby generating new and mutually beneficial partnership for growth.

The ERA have a clear vision to provide for the wellbeing of horses in and out of competition and as part of the digital transformation programme the Weatherbys ePassport will play an important part by ensuring that the health, welfare, and traceability of all horses are continuously monitored. The system will be configured on a secure central data model, providing seamless management operations, stakeholder engagement and distribution of data.

The new Digital Platform will make it significantly easier to generate valuable insights from data, deploy rich applications, create powerful workflows, automation, and leverage AI across all stakeholders and administration activities such as: - Combating inaccuracies and errors within duplicated data. - Enhancing customer experience. - Implementing a modern financial accounting and payments system. - Accelerating innovation for Thoroughbred and Arabian Racing in the UAE
