DIRTYOLDTOWN
Made it third time lucky for his trainer with a two-and-a-quarter-length handicap victory on soft ground at Newmarket in November.
“I still think he’s got a bit in hand and he’s a different horse on soft ground to anything else - anywhere he goes on soft ground, I’ll follow him.”
EL BUFALO
Followed a second at Newcastle in December with a three-length win at Wolverhampton a fortnight later.
“It’s lovely to have a Guineas entry and he’s a really nice horse. He’s got to improve and have a good few weeks to make it into the Guineas – but he’s exciting.”
FARO DE SAN JUAN
Ex-French performer won a six-furlong handicap at Chester from 11 outings in 2023.
“He was fourth in a big-field handicap at Newmarket at the end of the season, he’s had a wind op since and I think it’s what he needed - he’ll be a completely different horse this year.”
PRAGUE
An unraced son of Galileo and Princess Noor, winner of Ascot’s Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes for Roger Varian.
“We bought him from Ballydoyle at the horses-in-training sale for 10 grand. He’s shown really good work.”
SILVER SWORD
Refused to race twice in 2022 but won three times last year including the Sky Bet Mile Handicap at York’s Ebor Festival last August.
“He’ll go to Ascot on Trials day for the Listed mile race and then he’ll go to the Group 3 Diomed Stakes at Epsom on Derby day. He’s the flag-bearer for the stable.”
