Tom Symonds is leaning towards aiming Don Bersy at next month's Victor Ludorum Juvenile Hurdle at Haydock.Although falling on his first start for Symonds at Warwick, the four-year-old atoned for that error with victory at Sandown last Saturday. Despite earning quotes for the JCB Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, Symonds could swerve a visit to Prestbury Park in March in favour of a trip to Aintree the following month, depending how he fares on his next start. He said: "It was no surprise what he did at Sandown as I thought he was a nice horse. He is not the biggest, but he did it well. He has come out of that race really well."The owners are more inclined to go smaller rather than big, and maybe he could go for something like the Victor Ludorum."We all want to win a Triumph Hurdle, but he is more likely to go to Aintree than the Triumph Hurdle."
