The dashing grey completed a hat-trick in some style at the Esher venue, winning decisively despite jinking to his right after hitting the front.
The handicapper has since handed the four-year-old a 6lb rise and French-born trainer Menuisier hopes that will be enough to earn him a place in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket on September 30.
Newbury's Dubai Duty Free Handicap the previous Saturday is an alternative option.
He said: "Thundering Blue was impressive and went up 6lb and I think that should be enough to get into the Cambridgeshire.
"Obviously he has got both options (Newbury and Newmarket). I think now he has won two class two races it is time to go for a big one.
"I am not undermining the race at Newbury, but if we have a chance of lining up in a race like the Cambridgeshire with a live chance, it would be good to take it up
"The Cambridgeshire is a bit of a punt as we are dropping back a furlong, which is a question mark as when he wins his races he looks like he is going to stay well.
"Running on the straight track can sometimes make up for the drop back in distance and there will be a strong pace.
"The ground would not be much of a concern, but we don't want it too soft."
