Our Meydan maestro marks your card for a glittering fixture featuring some of the world's best horses. Watch all the action live on Racing TV.

12.20 Meydan: Commissioner King

Commissioner King was a commanding four-length winner of the Burj Nahar on Super Saturday where he made all the running from a poor draw in stall 10.
He is ideally berthed this time in stall 1 and can make use of his draw to again make all the running. In the absence of significant international opposition, he only has to repeat what he did last time to collect here.

12.55 Meydan: Dubai Future

Dubai Future won this last year where he showed blistering speed in the final quarter miles to surge past his rivals in what was a steadily run race.
He was a little disappointing in Europe last summer, but comes here a fresh horse and his trainer Saeed Bin Suroor has an excellent record with horses off a lay-off.
As per last year, there does not look to be much early pace and Dubai future can use his finishing speed to good effect once again.

1.30 Meydan: Six Speed

Six Speed arrives here after a hat-trick of wins at Meydan, which concluded with the UAE 2000 Guineas.
He showed plenty of early speed that day but it was the way he sustained that pace all the way to the line which suggested that he may be suited by the extra furlong of this UAE Derby.
A good draw in stall 2 will enable him to track the pace, which is the ideal run style for a dirt race at Meydan over this trip.
He is the stable second string behind Salloom, but that horse has had issues at the stalls and has only raced once whereas Six Speed is much more straightforward and battle hardened.

2.20 Meydan: Rayevka

I want to be with a horse drawn low here and Rayevka fits the bill from stall 2.
She finished fifth on her Meydan debut in the Nad Al Sheba turf sprint, but did best of those horses drawn high and she is sure to take a big step forward from that.
It is worth remembering that she was third in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot last season, when once again she was in the wrong group.
Francis Graffard will have her spot on for this and she makes appeal at a price in an open contest.

2.55 Meydan: Lovesick Blues (each-way)

Take a chance on this deep closer at a big price where there might be a pace meltdown.
He ran on very strongly in the Breeders' Cup Sprint at Del mar having been held up to finish sixth and was also noted making good late gains in the dirt sprint in Saudi a few weeks ago.
This race can provide an upset as it did last year with Dark Saffron, and has been won by deep closers in the past.
Lovesick Blues is a live each-way play to run on strongly off a fast pace and pick up some pieces at least.

4.45 Meydan: Meydaan

The Dubai World Cup can go to Meydaan, who was a revelation on his dirt debut when winning the Al Maktoum Classic.
He overcame trouble in running and coped with plenty of kickback to win in a fast time and having been campaigned over much further this looks to be his trip.
He has plenty of knee curl and grabs the ground like a proper dirt horse and is open to plenty of improvement.
Given that the favourite Forever Young disappointed in this last year after winning in Saudi Arabia, it looks sensible to find a valid alternative and Meydaan is definitely the one.
