Dave Nevison shares his best bets for Tuesday's card at Uttoxeter, including one he thinks should be "spot on" for the task ahead.
3.00 Uttoxeter: Hara Kiri
This race has lots of interest with a few lightly-raced horses with potential making their seasonal debuts, but I feel Olly Murphy’s charge, who has already had a run, may be the percentage call given the possible fitness advantage.
Hara Kiri is normally dropped out in his races and will no doubt be hoping the leaders go off at a fast, maybe even suicidal, pace in this as he generally stays on well and will no doubt be picking up the pieces here.
His reappearance effort was a good one behind the prolific Saligo Bay and he has been given three weeks to get over that run so should be spot on for this race which is one well worth watching.
3.33 Uttoxeter: Analiese
Mel Rowley’s runners went very well at the weekend and the stable looks to be in good form at present.
Analiese has top weight here, but this is a winnable race. She put up possibly her best hurdling performance in a race open to geldings last time, finishing second at Chepstow and certainly improved on her previous effort.
The step up in trip looks set to bring about improvement and she may be a bit of value at the forecast odds.
