3.26 Huntingdon: Postponed Legacy
This is a low-grade handicap hurdle, and most of the contenders already look exposed.
However, the recent form of Postponed Legacy looks seriously strong for the grade. His win on his penultimate start has worked out well, with the second and third winning on their next outing.
The selection was a good second at Wincanton last time out behind Mr Zee, who has improved since, while a subsequent winner was back in third.
Postponed Legacy's best form is with give underfoot, so the heavy ground shouldn’t be an issue, and Martin Keighley is in decent form.
4.01 Huntingdon: After Many Days
Henry Daly’s yard is going well, and he looks to have found the right race for this long-standing maiden.
After Many Days has run most of her best races on heavy ground, and did so again last time out when finishing second at Leicester in a slightly higher grade. She may well be better suited by the flatter
Huntingdon track, too, as she tied up having been clear up the stiff Leicester finish.
This trip is perfect for the seven-year-old, and this looks her best opportunity so far to break her maiden.
6.00 Newcastle: Lord Capulet
Lord Capulet has really hit form since the turn of the year, with two decent wins over this course and distance, and could well complete the hat-trick.
He won both of those contests by making the running, and it looks likely he will be able to do that again here as there doesn’t look to be a serious challenger for the early lead amongst his rivals.
The form of those two victories have worked out pretty well, so a 4lb rise for his latest win doesn’t look insurmountable. He has plenty in his favour here.
