Dave Nevison's top tips for Wednesday: Do not rule out Mad Endeavour

I am concentrating on Kempton Park for my selections on Wednesday, a meeting I will be covering on the channel.
6.40 Kempton: Marnie James

Marnie James has bagged a good draw for this high-level sprint and is one from one on an artificial surface. He has a good chance of maintaining that 100% record here.
Backers will have to forgive a poor run in the Portland at Doncaster last time but that was his third run in quick succession for his excellent new trainer and the horse has had more of a break since.
His run behind Dakota Gold has been made to look extremely good given that horse’s subsequent efforts and I am happy to take the risk that he will bounce back to form.
7.10 Kempton: Diocles Of Rome each-way

I have an enormous respect for Intuitive, who won what was quite a rough race last time out at Chelmsford.
He pushed his way through and was ultimately impressive but Diocles Of Rome was trapped behind a block of horses and could not get through.
Diocles Of Rome was travelling very well and would definitely have finished much closer but for those traffic problems.
He has won twice and been a narrow second in four runs at this course and his trainer is in excellent form. He is likely to be a bigger price than he should be.
8.10 Kempton: Mad Endeavour each-way

Stuart Kittow has two in this race and I am taking a chance with the exposed eight-year-old despite his extended losing run.
He is well drawn and looks likely to get the lead given those around him. And despite his losing sequence he usually runs well.
He last won on the All-weather off 65 and I am convinced he can win a race off his current mark of 52.
