In-form tipster Dave Nevison tipped a 7-1 winner on Saturday and returned with an 8-1 winner on Tuesday before landing another 8-1 winner on Wednesday! Find his best bets for Chelmsford on Good Friday below.
All-Weather racing has its big day of the year on Good Friday, and even though there is plenty of good racing at Newcastle and Lingfield, I have found a trio of handicaps at Chelmsford, live on Racing TV, to get stuck into. Best of luck!

2.15 Chelmsford: Let’s Go Hugo
It will be interesting to see how long admirable front-running veteran Boom The Groom leads the field in this ultra-competitive handicap. Tony Carroll’s old-timer can’t be ruled out here, but I fancy younger legs to be too strong for him at the line.
Let’s Go Hugo was improving at the end of last year, from a lowly level, and he ran an encouraging third after a short break last time out.
He has a decent draw in stall six and will hopefully be able to sit just off the lead, and if he has come on for his outing last time out, he will hopefully continue on the upgrade plus kick of a good season in this.
3.25 Chelmsford: Churchella
Churchella will be a warm order for this 14-runner handicap, but deservedly so looking at her recent win over record-seeking The Craftymaster (who was bidding for a seven-timer) last time out.
Her winning margin does not tell anything like the whole story as she lost nearly ten lengths at the start, and had to do a lot of work to get back in the race.
The pair were five lengths clear of the rest and the runner-up has already won yet another handicap since, so the form looks very strong.
There is not a trainer in better form than David O’Meara at present and while I am sure he would like Danny Tudhope to be on board, Paul Mulrennan taking over is no negative.
4.00 Chelmsford: Five Winds
Jack Jones dropped this one to five furlongs last time, purely to get a handicap mark, and while a rating of 65 is no gimme, there are strong reasons to think he will prove to be well in for his first run in handicap company.
The jockey booking catches the eye immediately and it seems highly unlikely Irish champion Colin Keane would be on board one that was having a run around.
Although Five Winds was beaten 13 lengths on his second start at Southwell, that was a very strong race of its type, with the winner placed in Group company later that season, and the fourth horse winning off a mark of 75 subsequently.
Five Winds raced like 7f might be his ideal trip and I definitely think a mark of 65 might be generous. I will certainly be watching the market closely, too.
