Has already scored three times at this track, including when successful in this race last year, and ran her best race this season when third in a Group Two contest at Haydock in May.

It was a shade disappointing she couldn't justify favouritism at Ayr when last seen, but has been rested since and kept fresh for this return to action, and I'm hoping she can improve he strong course record.

She's my nap of the day on Friday.

3.40 Ayr: Woven

This ten-year-old is not the force he was, but when he gets conditions in his favour, he is still capable of performing to a decent level.

A big-field, six-furlong handicap is just what he needs, and he could well handle things better than most of his younger rivals here, so he's the pick.

4.15 Ayr: Kelpie Grey

I hope I have landed on a Jim Goldie-trained winner at the popular Ladbrokes Ayr Gold Cup Festival here, although the canny trainer is difficult to pin down.

Kelpie Grey hasn’t won for two seasons, but Danny Tudhope is booked, and although the selection didn't perform that well on Thursday, he did travel well for a long way, so I'm hoping he can bounce back. He also ran twice at this meeting last year.
