Arc favourite Daryz back in front on home soil in Qatar Prix Foy

Mickael Barzalona recorded his third victory on the afternoon on an Aga Khan Stud-owned/Francis-Henri Graffard-trained horse as Daryz breezed home in front.
The colt had reportedly failed to settle into his temporary accomodation when only third behind Ombudsman in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Ascot when last seen, but looked much more at home here as he recorded a seventh course success.
Just four runners went to post for the Group Two trial for next month's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, and there were very few moments of worry for the heavily odds-on favourite as he was able to track the George Scott-trained and Oisin Murphy-ridden Bay City Roller throughout.
Moved to challenge for the lead with less than two furlongs to run, he cruised to the front and only had to be pushed out hands and heels for a very cosy success.
Following the victory, he was cut to 9-4 market leader for the October feature.

Graffard said: "We got a good lead and luckily Oisin made a good pace.
"So the horse was travelling nicely - for me as a trainer it's the best prep for the horse.
"He should be spot on for next month."
Of the runner-up, Scott said: "Oisin [Murphy] was very happy with him. He's the best version of himself now.
"We will be hoping for a different set of circumstances in a month's time – he's a different animal when the rain comes.
"He was beaten by a better horse on the day – that may be the case in a month's time, but it might not. We will look forward to it."
