Martin Keighley may have been out of luck with Any Currency at Cheltenham but he is very hopeful Cottersrock can gain some compensation in the Matchbook-sponsored Silver Plate Handicap Hurdle at Kempton.Any Currency finished ninth in the cross-country chase, but Cottersrock, who sports first-time cheekpieces, has plenty in his favour on his return to hurdles. "He's been chasing this season and his first run when he won at Uttoxeter - beating Ballycross, Bigbadjohn and Value At Risk - worked out really well," said Keighley. "After that he's been a little disappointing but I think he just got stuck in the soft ground."We've given him a winter break and he goes very well fresh."We had hoped to get into the Martin Pipe, but he missed the cut for that so we're running him here instead."He'll love the ground, is a course and distance winner and is running off a decent mark.I think he's got to have a good chance." Neil Mulholland runs recent Wincanton winner Sleep Easy and the consistent Solomn Grundy."Sleep Easy is 1lb well in as he's carrying a 7lb penalty for his win but the handicapper put him up 8lb," said Mulholland."He seemed really well suited by stepping up in trip last time.Fingers crossed he'll run a good race as he's going there in good form. "Similar comments apply to Solomn Grundy, he's been in good form all season and should also run a good race."Tom George's Sumkindofking looked very promising early in the season but he has been beaten at Cheltenham on his last two starts."He's had a nice break over the worst of the winter," said George."He prefers the better ground and I'm looking forward to getting him back on the track."Others to note include Golden Spear, who had been ante-post favourite for last week's Imperial Cup only to miss the race, Brio Conti, Divine Spear and Top Tug.
