Mark Johnston's
Cardsharp will attempt to defy a Group Two penalty in the Al Basti Equiworld Gimcrack Stakes at
York on Saturday.
The July Stakes winner has since finished third in the Richmond at Goodwood and will be conceding 3lb to each of his 11 rivals as Johnston looks to win the race for just the second time.
Frozen Angel, last seen finishing a creditable fifth in the Phoenix Stakes, runs for Tom Dascombe.
Headway, runner-up in the Coventry at Ascot, and James Tate's Invincible Army also bring solid Group form to the contest.
Nebo, De Bruyne Horse, who is declared to run on Thursday, Staxton and Stormbringer also feature.
