The 7lb claimer was taken to hospital in Gloucester for further assessment following his tumble from
Minellaforleisure on Wednesday.
The 11-year-old gelding, trained by Alex Hales, was brought down by Innocent Touch at the second-last flight in the Cheltenham Pony Racing Authority Graduates’ Handicap Hurdle.
Brace was allowed home after precautionary checks.
Hales said: “They obviously took him to hospital. He had scans on his head and x-rays on his chest and everything but he’s fine.
“They let him out late last night. That’s great news. He’s back home, he’s sore but doing OK.”
Minellaforleisure, however, suffered a neck injury and remains at Three Counties Equine Hospital in Tewkesbury.
“He’s not great, unfortunately,” added the Banbury-based Hales.
“He’s hurt his neck. It will be touch and go for a couple of days.”
