Nicola Currie has won her appeal against the 10-day suspension she was given by the
Lingfield stewards for failing to take "all reasonable and permissible measures" to obtain the best possible position on
Tojosimbre.
Currie, a 7lb apprentice based with John Berry, was penalised after finishing fourth of 13 in the Southern Testing 50th Anniversary Handicap over two miles on September 26.
The race was won in easy style by Sir Mark Prescott's Alternate Route, with Tojosimbre, trained by Richard Hughes, finishing on the heels of the placed horses, beaten just over five lengths.
The disciplinary panel of the British Horseracing Authority quashed the local stewards' verdict and upheld Currie's appeal.
The reasons for its decision are expected to be released either on Friday or Monday.
