Cannes has only had two starts, and has shaped promisingly on both occasions. His debut second at the Curragh, where he was second behind a race-fit stable companion, suggested that he was destined for a smart three-year-old campaign.
He started that campaign with an excellent second here at Leopardstown where he was poorly placed in a steadily run affair, but ran on strongly into second place.
The step up in trip to 1m4f here looks sure to suit, given his stamina-laden pedigree, and style of racing, and he can get off the mark before contesting stronger contests.
2.05 Cork: Thisain'tthat

Finished: 7thSP: 9/2
Thisain'tthat shaped really well last time out at Clonmel when finishing second on his handicap debut, and can go one better here.
He travelled into the race very strongly that day from a poor position in rear. Nonetheless, the headway he made was most eye-catching, and now that he steps back into novice company with that experience behind him, he should go close.
He has only had four starts, and is open to plenty of improvement, with the drop in trip unlikely to inconvenience him.

3.27 Ludlow: Law Of Supply
Law Of Supply has been sliding down the handicap, and in a small field where he will be able to dominate, he should be hard to catch.
He was an excellent second at Wincanton recently, and is in better form than any of his rivals. He can take advantage of this class of race off a lowly mark.
3.40 Leopardstown: Endorsement

I am taking Endorsement to lower the colours of his more illustrious stable companion, Pierre Bonnard.
Endorsement is in here to make the running, and in just a five-runner field in first-time cheekpieces, I believe he can steal this from the front.
He was employed as a pacemaker last time out when finishing second to Christmas Day in the Ballysax Stakes, and had Pierre Bonnard well beaten behind him there.
Pierre Bonnard may well have taken a step forward in terms of fitness, but Endorsement is too good a horse in his own right to give a soft lead to, and I am anticipating him to make all the running, and see off his well-touted stable companion.
