Karl Burke has has been in red-hot form with his Juvenile runners this season, and looks to hold the key to this race, with Beautiful Diamond and Got To Love A Grey both leading contenders.
The latter showed a good attitude to win the Listed Marygate Fillies' Stakes at York last time out when defeating some useful prospects, but the former created a huge impression on debut at Nottingham and could take plenty of beating here.
The youngster fetched £360,000 at the Goffs UK Breeze-Up sale in April after what her purchaser described as an "exceptional breeze", and she looked a potential star when cruising clear and scoring with plenty left in the tank on debut.
Although she wasn't asked for maximum effort, she still clocked a decent time, and took a while to pull up after the line. She displayed some signs of greenness, too, so can only be expected to step forward from that outing.
Being by Twilight Son out of a Lethal Force mare, she's speedily bred, and Burke, who won this race 12 months ago with Dramatised, has made it no secret how much he thinks of this exciting filly.
It is unlikely we have seen the best of Yerwanthere who got no luck in running when seventh, beaten four lengths, in a Listed race at Naas on her return to action.
She would have undoubtedly finished closer with a clearer passage there and, given she still finished close up to rivals rated over 100, without hitting top gear, suggests she could be nicely treated returning to a handicap off a rating of 93.
After scoring in eye-catching style on debut last year, she was successful on her handicap debut, and first outing for Joseph O'Brien, off a 4lb lower mark at Dundalk where she was value for more than the winning margin suggests in what was a messy race.
This race has been the plan since, and James McDonald is an eye-catching jockey booking aboard a filly who should have lots more to offer on her fourth outing.
It is also worth having a saver on her stablemate, Adelaise, who took a big step forward when an unlucky loser in the Emerald Mile at the Curragh when last seen.
The four-year-old was forced to switch a couple of times at crucial stages before staying on strongly to finish a never-nearer third, and was closing on the winner, and the runner-up, all the way to the line.
The first-time hood looked to make a big difference there, as did faster ground, and that was just her second start for Joseph O'Brien who believed she would strip fitter for that outing.
She has only been raised a pound since, which is lenient, and a repeat of that effort will see her in the mix here, especially as this test promises to suit.
I advised backing Rogue Millennium at 16-1 for the Duke Of Cambridge last week and will be sticking with her in the Group Two contest. She is now a general 10-1 chance, largely due to the defection of Laurel, and hopefully she at least sneaks a place.
The Prince Of Wales's Stakes looks set to be a mouthwatering clash between four top-class performers who are all closely matched on ratings. If I had to have a bet, then I'd be siding with Luxembourg, but it's a no bet race for me. Fingers crossed they all show their true colours and provide a thrilling spectacle.
Intellogent (advised at 16-1 last week has attracted some support over the past few days and is now a general 9-1 chance for the Royal Hunt Cup. He has obvious claims, and I see no reason why he won't go close.
Of the others, Blue For You is another who looks set to run a big race. David O'Meara's charge appeared in need of the run when fifth on his return to action at York where an outside draw meant he faced a tough task racing wide throughout and, given he took a big step forward from his seasonal debut last year, the same can be expected again.
He landed a valuable handicap at York in a fast time off a 5lb lower mark last season, and would have won more cosily had he not endured traffic problems.
It is probably worth forgiving his two efforts at Ascot on his final two outings last year where the give in the ground would have been against him, plus he didn't get the rub of the green on either occasion.
Fast ground on Wednesday will suit, and the 16-1 on offer with Bet365, who are paying six places, looks generous.
There's also £25,000 up for grabs in a special edition of the Paddy's Pick 5 competition this week where you have to select the first five home, in any order, in the Royal Hunt Cup.
The Windsor Castle Stakes looks a tricky puzzle to solve, and I haven't got a strong opinion on that race, although I'll be having a small investment on Maximum Impact who Juvenile expert Ross Millar believes is Amo Racing's "best chance of a winner" at Royal Ascot this year.
Gregory looked a Group performer in the making when successful at Haydock on debut where he defeated three youngsters who had all won on their previous outing.
The Gosdens charge also looked a work in progress there, and he again showed signs of inexperience when making it two from two in the Listed Cocked Hat Stakes where he stormed clear, once hitting top gear, to record a useful time.
His pedigree is full of stamina, and while it can be viewed as a concern that he took a while to get going at Goodwood - he also lost his position mid-race - he's shaped as though he needs a step up in trip on both starts.
An extra three furlongs here is a positive, and he is sure to have learnt plenty from his first two outings. His form looks strong and he's likely to take plenty of beating here, while I wouldn't put you off having an ante-post bet on him at 9-1 with William Hill for the St Leger ahead of this race, too.
