Pontefract Racecourse

Pontefract Racecourse has four Listed races throughout the Flat season. The first of which is the Pontefract Castle Stakes, which takes place in June.

The Pipalong mile race for fillies and mares was first run in 2003 and takes place every year in July, while the Flying Fillies’ Stakes is run over six furlongs. The Silver Tankard Stakes takes place nearer the end of the season in October. It is open to two-year-olds and is run over a mile.
