Left-handed, sharp. The 'U'-shaped racecourse at Brighton is around 12 furlongs in length, with the pronounced gradients making it a track for handy, athletic types rather than big, long-striding sorts. The first half of the 12-furlong course is essentially a gradual climb, before leveling off until the final furlong, which is also uphill. When the ground gets testing, the runners are usually brought stand side in the closing stages.
