Right handed, sharp. Fences have been traditionally regarded as small and easy.
Taunton Racecourse in Somerset is England's youngest jumps racecourse and one of the most beautifully located in the country, with outstanding views to the wooded slopes of the Blackdown Hills, yet only a few minutes drive from the M5 and the centre of Taunton.
Taunton is a tight and trappy track to ride. It’s pretty level on the whole but the third last fence and second last hurdle as you swing into the home straight catch a few out as you run down into them at speed. The fences aren’t all that stiff though and are a fair enough test for most, but as with most flat tracks it pays to be on horse with a gear or two up their sleeve, and sometimes they tend to get racing a fair way out.
