Vroum Vroum Mag faces just four rivals in the olbg.com Doncaster Mares' Hurdle on Saturday as she bids to register another victory ahead of the Cheltenham Festival. Her trainer Willie Mullins is not concerned about the considerable drop in trip from three miles to two miles for her prep run for the Festival, where she currently holds a host of entries.Vroum Vroum Mag is ante-post favourite for the OLBG Mares' Hurdle, which she won last season, and runs at Doncasteron the back of a Grade One triumph in the three-mile Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown. Mullins successfully used this race as a warm-up for Annie Power ahead of her run at Cheltenham in 2014."We've been happy with her since Christmas and she seems In good form," said Mullins' son, Patrick."She's coming back to two miles, but it all seems to come alike to her."Hopefully she can get another win on the board before Cheltenham."The difficulty of the task ahead is not lost on connections of the opposition.Midnight Jazz has yet to finish out of the first two this winter and has a course win to her name. With decent prize-money on offer, her trainer Ben Case feels it is worth having a go.The Banbury handler said:"Whichever way you look at it, we're all up against it with Vroum Vroum Mag on the ratings, but it's good prize-money on offer and she's been running well all season, "She won well round Doncaster last month and if Vroum Vroum Mag doesn't turn up then she's got a little chance."She's a tough, hardy mare and I'm sure she'll run her race."Dan Skelton is hoping Late Night Lily can pick up some all-important black type to increase her value for the paddocks when she retires."She's got a very difficult task but it would be lovely to get some black type with her," Skelton said of the six-year-old, who has won her last three starts."We're going into the race with realistic expectations."Completing the five-runner field are the Paul Nicholls-trained Coillte Lass, who has won all her three races over hurdles so far, and Karl Burke's useful dual-purpose performer Intense Tango.
