Top tipster Dave Nevison marks your card for Tuesday's action, with three selections across three meetings. Watch every race from Epsom live on Racing TV.
4.58 Epsom: Mr Baloo
Mr Baloo has won at Epsom and ran well when fourth in this corresponding event in 2024. That track form could be decisive in this very tight handicap.
Richard Hannon’s five-year-old has been in form this year and won on the all-weather last time out. He is only 2lb higher in this and has raced well off marks in the mid 90s last season.
A prominent racer, which suits Epsom, he looks set to go well over what is now his ideal trip.
5.10 Southwell: South Shore
Ruth Carr’s five-year-old has been dropping down the weights, while apparently running himself into form, a typical set up for the trainer.
South Shore last won (on turf) off a mark of 60, but has slipped below that now and showed strong signs of being on the way back when fourth at Wolverhampton last time out.
A draw in stall 10 is not a disadvantage for a horse who will likely start slowest in this field and is expected to be challenging late as others are slowing down.
7.20 Lingfield: Penfolds Grange
Penfolds Grange has never won a handicap, but now that he has dropped to a mark below 70 he has shown he is capable of doing so.
He is in form and has run a creditable second on both his last two starts, both of which came over a mile.
He ran an eye-catching race over this course and distance when finishing fourth three runs ago and might well have done better had he not been forced wide turning into the straight.
If he gets a good run through this time it could well be a successful move to up him back to this ten-furlong trip.
