1.20 Leicester: Tuba

This gelding will be having his first run for Fergal O’Brien and on stable form alone  - O'Brien had winners pretty much everywhere over the weekend - he is probably worth a look.
This half-brother to the useful Penzance looked promising on his debut in Ireland but has basically declined ever since.
However, there is obviously ability there and O’Brien is certainly a trainer who can revive the fortunes of horses. The application of the tongue strap for the first time is an interesting move and suggests a breathing problem might have been identified.
Tuba has a decent amateur on board, who is now attached to the yard, and has already ridden a winner for O’Brien over Jumps.

3.50 Leicester: Newtown Duke

Ian Williams is another trainer who has his team in fine form and Newtown Duke could be interesting here off bottom weight.
A couple of factors make me feel positive about his chances. Firstly, he achieved his best rating when he raced over a mile last term and he is now dropping back down to that distance for the first time this season.
Newtown Duke ran his best race this campaign when third in a big field handicap on heavy ground at Carlisle in July and might have gone even closer but for being hampered at the start. The combination of trip and ground, combined with a small drop in the weights, suggests he has plenty in his favour.

4.20 Leicester: Asinara

Asinara is the percentage call here, being far and away the most consistent sprinter in this field.
She has only been out of the frame once, and even though she has only one win to her name, I have no concerns about her willingness.
Asinara looked unlucky not to follow up her win at Bath at the same course last time when she didn’t get the best of runs two furlongs out.
She proved she goes well on soft ground there and, off the same mark here, I will be surprised if she doesn’t go close for her in-form trainer.
