Sunday tips: Angus McNae's best bets at Aintree

Jamie Snowden has his horses in good form and Doc McCoy was impressive when making all to win at Warwick last time out. He has been raised 7lb for that success, but he won very easily.

He gets to race in the same class today against better opponents but may be underestimated in the market. Isabelle Ryder has had an excellent season with a 24% strike rate and she gets a good tune out of Doc McCoy.

All The Glory only had one rival on her chasing debut at Chepstow and could only finish second,  but she had a very considerate introduction to chasing that day and can reap the rewards of that experience here.

She looked to finish with plenty in the tank and she jumped adequately. This is a tougher test, but she was a useful hurdler and is one of only two runners in the field with chasing experience, and that experience was gained in eye-catching fashion.

Imperial Saint has a tremendous record at Aintree where his form figures read 1112. If you add to that the fact that he goes well fresh then he looks to be a solid wager in the feature event at Aintree.

He is a bold and solid jumper with a lifetime RaceiQ Jump Index of 7.5 and he is lightly raced with plenty of improvement to come in what could be a big season for him. 

Fergal O'Brien has won this race for the last three years and can make it four with Serious Challenge who looks to be well-treated having only his second run in a handicap.

He completed a hat-trick last season before finishing fourth in a good handicap at Sandown. He was a useful horse on the Flat for Jim Bolger and his exploits on the level make him look well treated here off a mark of 128.
