Tuesday tips: Dave Nevison hoping for a Happy Hour

Patrick Morris has an icicle next to his name in Timeform but I imagine that out of form indicator might soon  be melting away to judge by the way his horses performed last weekend.

Eden Storm was the one who began the return to form for the yard, with a win last time out after a losing run of his own.

That success came over 7f but he does stay this extended mile and he is only 1lb higher, so still looks well enough in to score again. The booking of crack Irish rider Harry Swan takes the eye, too.

This is a well supported high grade selling handicap and I hope this initiative succeeds.

If Richard Hughes’ rapidly progressing three-year-old Spirit Lead Me can win this I am sure there will be some spirited bidding after the race.

This gelding has never taken to turf, finishing nearer last than first on most of his runs, but it is a different story over an all weather surface.

He has won his past two starts in impressive style and even though he has been raised 7lb for his Southwell victory, he still looks well in. Donagh Murphy, who claims 7lb, won on him last time is back on board.

Al Abeed came back form a six-month absence in a competitive event at Southwell last time and ran a promising race, suggesting that he could be one to be with in decent handicaps this winter.

He won a modest maiden on his debut, also at Southwell in March, and on only his third start - the latest before his break - ran well in a hot conditions' event containing Group class performers.

His rating of 94 looks merited and he can open his handicap account under the excellent Billy Loughnane.
