Four more selections for you this week. Two from Nottingham and one each from Kempton and Lingfield.

1.30 Nottingham: Msayyan

This two-year-old colt by Camelot seems to face a straightforward task in this maiden. On his sole start he was somewhat unlucky not to win.

That run came at Kempton where amid obvious greenness he was forced to weave through horses and met some trouble inside the final furlong. He was beaten only a neck producing a decent first time up Timeform speed figure and is clearly open to a good deal of improvement.

Frankie Dettori rides and the combination should prove hard to beat in a race where the main danger may well come from some nicely bred newcomers. That said, he should be able to put his experience and obvious ability to good use.

2.20 Lingfield: Gold Filigree

Gold Filigree is a very speedy filly with a high cruising speed who has shaped particularly well in her last three starts.

She is dropping back to five furlongs and is encountering a sharp track for the first time which should play to her strengths.

With plenty of pace signed on in this race Shane Kelly should be able to use stall 4 to help her adopt a handy position whilst getting some cover.

The pace will also help her to settle properly and see her race out strongly. She has been very consistent this season and looks set to be rewarded for that with conditions in her favour.

2.30 Nottingham: Sheikha Reika

Another two-year-old and another with previous experience. This Shamardal filly, trained by Roger Varian, has shaped with a good deal of promise on her two starts so far.

She was second on her debut at Ascot and then took a step forward in finishing second to the clearly very useful Stream Song at Newmarket. In that race she was four lengths clear of the third in a good time and she is bred to be useful being a sister to the Group one winning Lumiere. Her stable continues in form and this is an excellent chance for her to get off the mark .

7.45 Kempton: Recollect

Another two-year-old to keep the right side of. This looks to be quite a hot novice stakes but such was the promise that Recollect showed on his debut he is well worth chancing here.

He finished fifth to Thrave on his debut at Newmarket where he travelled well and showed he has plenty of ability. Under tender handling he ran on steadily, held back from finishing close by a complete lack of know how.

He is clearly going to make a big step forward from that and if he does he will be right in the mix here. The brilliant Jamie Spencer keeps the ride and he looks set to reap the rewards of looking after and educating this colt on his debut. Even if he doesn’t win today he looks to be an exciting prospect going forward to next year.
