St Mary’s was a 7-2 winner here in the Wednesday blog last week and hopefully I can repeat the dose this week. I have four selections:
This horse is talented but not straightforward, nonetheless he won in pretty good style at Leicester last time and there could be more to come. He won his nursery quite comfortably and now, just a 6lb higher, I believe he has got a good chance of going in again.
He is lightly raced, having only had five races so far, and now that he has got his head in front I think he can be expected to take another step forward under David Nolan, who ride him to success last time.
If his attitude doesn’t get the better of him and he performs as he did last time out he will be hard to beat .

This horse is a strong travelling sprinter who looks set to dominate here off top weight. He has been very consistent of late, posting speed figures that suggest he is well treated off a mark of 86.
He was a good second to Storm Over at Catterick last time in a strong handicap for the grade and the track. The winner there, Storm Over, is clearly progressive/useful so finishing in second place was no disgrace and he can go one better.

This horse is on a hat-trick after two facile wins at Catterick. She was particularly impressive last time out, when scoring by six lengths, and is going to be very hard to beat under a 6lb penalty.
She is trained by Scott Dixon, who is in great form at the moment and this filly looks set to go in again over her ideal trip and on ground that suits her best. She will not be a big price but rates as the nap selection of my four this week.
This daughter of Dubawi can take the opener at Kempton after making a promising debut at
Nottingham recently when finishing fifth of 14 to Hadith in a maiden.
She was not given a hard time amongst a lack of knowhow in that race and the late progress she made was encouraging. She is beautifully bred, being by Dubawi out of the top class High Chaparral mare High Heeled. With a pedigree like that she should be more than useful.
