The Grade One races at
Fairyhouse on Sunday have drawn headline acts in Honeysuckle and Envoi Allen plus a potential future star in Ballyadam.
They are going to be something to savour on Racing TV on Sunday but none of the graded races is especially attractive for betting purposes.
I’ve got a couple of fancies on the card, starting with:
12.30 Fairyhouse: Zanahiyr
Fairyhouse will have fresh ground on Sunday and, after a beautiful week of weather, it will not be too testing.
That will probably suit Zanahiyr more than Saint Sam, who must give him 7lb. He won his course maiden at this track readily and bolted up despite being quite novicey in the jumping stakes at Ballinrobe. He looks the value, with Druid's Alter also respected.
2.05 Fairyhouse: Mon Lino
He was runner-up in this race last year and has almost certainly been aimed at going one better.
He warmed up for this with a narrow miss over hurdles. Few of these make any significant appeal but if Mon Lino runs his race he should be thereabouts and the signs are good that he will.
