Betting expert Dave Nevison is sweet on a pair running at Sandown Park, plus likes another well served by the demands of Doncaster.
4.20 Doncaster: Aymaretto
Aymaretto is well suited to a flat, galloping track and so perhaps it is no surprise that he runs often - and usually with credit - at Doncaster.
Tim Easterby’s filly also has good form on soft ground, like so many of Mayson’ progeny, so might have plenty going for her here off bottom weight, as long as she doesn’t do too much, too soon.
A bigger field than last time should help with that, and I fancy that Aymaretto can win over this course and distance for a second time this season.
4.30 Sandown: Beach Point
Beach Point was a well-backed favourite when I tipped and backed him on the all-weather last time, so I wasn’t the only punter who was disappointed when he ran poorly.
No explanation has arisen but looking at his previous form figures, and how consistent he is generally, means I am happy to forgive.
His run of seconds still does not concern me too much as he has regularly come up against progressive or well-handicapped types, and hopefully the talent of Oisin Murphy will get him in front here.
5.00 Sandown: Pergola
This Wootton Basset filly is probably already worth a fortune after she broke her maiden at Epsom last time, but a few more wins could enhance her value further and she certainly looks progressive.
She has only been put up 4lb for that short-head success and looks as though she will be better suited by this stiffer 10f test at Sandown.
Pergola seems to be maturing and settled better last time, and this Highclere filly looks set to improve further with William Buick on board.
